Winner of this competition in 2006 and now resident MC and headliner throughout Ireland and in the Laughter Lounge.

The Headliner is Gearoid Farrelly, last years winner who has since supported PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamere and regularly appeared on RTE’s The Lucy Kennedy Show and continues to rock rooms all over Ireland and abroad.

Trevor Browne has only being doing stand up for the past three months. Although he is a newbie to comedy Trevor has reached the finals of two major comedy competitions in Australia and has also won the coveted rubber duck in Battle of the Axe with his musical styling's. He is also looking for a job if anyone reading this needs a laid back, moderate worker who doesn't take life too seriously."A self proclaimed musical genius" Trevor Browne 

Steve Elliott has been on the scene for a while now. He's played a lot of venues all over the country & is ready to take the Bulmers Competition by storm! He looks like a Rock 'n' Roll Jesus but sounds like a Bluegrass Allah. He's dirty but fun ... like a chimney sweeping hooker! He's also up his own arse, hence the 'by storm' comment! Skiddoosh! 

Chris Kent is a charming young Comedian from Cork. His style is sharp and preys on his own everyday life. His ability to laugh at himself gives for some great viewing, Just ask him about his ball bag....!!! He is an ambitious character and is always looking to improve and build on his ever blazing presence. Watch this space!!

Kevin McGahern mixes a unique blend of theatrical performance with a style of comedy that never fails to rock a room, audience based theatrical improvisation followed by a treatment of a song with a backing vocal to boot, he always produces hilarious results.  

Enda Muldoon began comedy four years ago in a bid to deal with deep seated childhood psycholgical trauma. This badly thought out attempt at purging his demons in public proved not only to be unsuccessfull, but has involved many of his shows ending with his admission to a psychiatric unit. Not strictly a comedian, watching Enda perform is a dark view at the fragility of the human psyche. The fact that anyone would give him a microphone, is proof in itself that the collapse of society is imminent. THE RACE TO THE BOTTOM IS OVER, COME SEE THE WINNER. 

Totally Wired: Ever imagined what it would sound like if Prof. Stephen Hawking and Christy Brown came together for a duet of Footloose?..Since winning the audience award in January 09 at the Ha’Penny bridge comedy club, Totally Wired have decided not to be Ireland’s best kept secret any longer, they have decided it’s about time the world or at least Ireland for now discover the comedy genius of Totally Wired ..  

ONE MAN SHOW BY TWO SHOW MEN: Sept 19^th -20^th. A full weekend workshop in developing a full evening comedy show brought to you by Award Winning Leandro Morgado and Abie Philbin Bowman – of Jesus in Guantanimo – the biggest sold out one man show of Edinburgh in ten years. 

In this workshop, we will discuss, analyse, understand and test the main tools that make a full Stand-Up Comedy Show. From the blank page to the standing ovation, we will develop every step that is necessary to get a quality comedy show together.    

Whether you are looking to write your first one man show or a more experienced comedian hoping to tour a successful one-person show in the future, considerable attention will be given to the practical side of successfully performing at comedy clubs/festivals and touring a one-person show: selecting venues, handling the press, marketing strategies, finance and contacts. There will be specific advice on surviving and succeeding at the world’s biggest and most competitive arts festival: the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as touring on the Irish comedy circuit and further abroad.
